  • Zac Levine

Zac grew up in Maine, where the procession of the seasons forged in him a deep reverence and connection to the mid-coast.

Zac returned home in 2006 from Washington state after graduating from Evergreen College with a B.A. In World Systems Theory. Needing to be rooted in something more tangible than theory, Zac began to work with the seasons, farming, fishing, and logging. He found that the change he was looking for needed to start with the individual. It was this shift in perception that inspired him to enroll in a masters degree program for Five Element acupuncture, a medicine that reaches the root of the individual.

Zac has studied extensively with Laura Stelmok in a post-graduate apprenticeship program that is the bedrock of the Five Element tradition.

Zac has worked at Central Maine Medical Center and Pen Bay Medical Center treating patients with cancer. He has also worked at the Togus VA Medical Center in an outpatient chronic pain clinic. He is thrilled to be practicing at Stillpoint, the root of his practice and his home .

  • Cassandra Walters

Cassie attended Malone College, Canton, OH from 1984 – 1987. Her focus of study was in biology, chemistry and secondary education. She then worked for over 20 years in the construction industry as an award-winning kitchen and bath designer. In 2009, Cassie graduated from Keiser University, Orlando, FL, with an AS degree in Massage Therapy and a renewed passion for anatomy/physiology and human health and wellness.

Cassie was raised on a farm in rural Ohio. She has an innate affinity for nature and the natural cycles of life. As well as working on the farm, she was a competitive Track and Field athlete from an early age, which developed a heightened awareness of the physical body and how it works. These factors combined with the direction of her healing work made for a congruous progression into Five Element Chinese Theory and acupuncture. She received her Master’s degree from The Academy of Five Element Acupuncture in September 2012. She soon thereafter became Nationally Board Certified by the NCCA and a licensed acupuncturist in the State of New Hampshire and Maine. During this time she also began her post-graduate studies with Laura Barnard Stelmok in Rockland Maine. These studies involve clinical observation and on-going supervision of her private practice. Because of her participation in the work of The Unseen Hand and her advanced training, she has chosen to remain in Maine to further study with Laura.
